My card today was created for the current Papertrey Ink MIM Challenge hosted by Laurie. She shows her favorite tips and tricks for adding score lines to paper crafted projects for some additional detail and texture.

Here is my take featuring Embellished Elegance and Super Stripes.

birthday

Hello! I hope everyone had a lovely Easter. I spent the weekend visiting with my daughter who lives three hours north of me in Northern Wisconsin. We had a wonderful time shopping and going out to dinner.

Today I have a clean and simple card to share with you all that I have entered into several challenges listed below this post.

First I stamped an image from Dot Spot with Limeade Ice ink from Papertrey Ink. Next I pierced the area around the image with the Stitched Circle die by MFT. The sentiment is a cut die also by PTI.

Thanks for stopping by. I do enjoy reading all your lovely comments!

27 March 2016

Welcome to Christmas Card Challenges! Below you'll find this week's inspiration photo.
It's your option to use it or not. Just remember the only real rule to play along each week is to create a holiday or Christmas themed card.

Here is my take using an older image from Memory box and a sentiment from Love Lives Here: Holiday by PTI. Images were colored in with distress markers.

Thanks for stopping by and I hope to see you in our gallery!

Birthdays are for celebrating

25 March 2016

Good morning! I'm popping in for a quick post before I leave for the weekend to go visit my daughter who lives in Northern Wisconsin. It's a three hour drive and they just got hit with about 5"of fresh snow last night. We got about two to three inches around here. You can see my tulips and daffodils peeking through the snow.

My card today features the sets Stitches and Swirls, You've Been Framed: Oval and a sentiment from the newly released Ombre Sentiments: Birthday all by Papertrey Ink. The center panel is by MFT. The flowers were colored with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers.

You can find the challenges my card has been linked to below this post.

I hope you all have a very Happy Easter!
Hugs, Rema

Trust In The Lord...

22 March 2016

Thanks for popping in! Danielle is hosting this week's Papertrey Ink MIM challenge. She has a couple of lovely cards to share and  her process to create visual depth by blending ink over the top of heat embossing.

Here is my take featuring What The Doodle: Butterfly mini and the Lord mini set and coordinating die. After I stamped and embossed the smallest butterfly, my entire panel was sponged with Squeezed Lemonade, Orange Marmalade and Spun Sugar distress inks. Water splatters were added as a finishing touch.

Other supplies used :
Panel die by Sugar Pea Designs that was included in the latest SOA Collection by Catherine Pooler.

Gold adhesive specialty paper

Have a lovely day!

Springtime Smiles

20 March 2016

Happy first day of Spring!

I pulled out this rubber cling stamp by Obsession Impression that was stored in a bin of older mildly used stamps. It's practically new since I only used it once about six years ago. It's called Thistle Garden and I'm not even sure they carry it anymore.

My background was smooshed onto a large die cut Rectangle Stitched Wonky Die by MFT with Salty Ocean distress ink . Image was colored with my Zig Real Brush Markers. The birds were originally colored gray and I did not like it. Instead of redoing the card I stamped another image, colored the birds blue, fussy cut them out and adhered them over the dull gray ones. I'm pleased with the way it turned out.

The sentiment is from the set Spring Hills by Papertrey Ink.

Thanks for visiting!

Enjoy a Lovely Easter

19 March 2016

I made this adorable Easter card with images from an older set by Inky Antics. Can't find the name of the set anywhere on the package and the printing on the acetate seems to be rubbed off a bit. I think I bought it back at least six years ago.

After stamping the rabbit image and coloring him I cut off the head cause that's the only part I needed. I wanted it to look like he was popping his head out to say hello. I love the little chicks that came with the set.

The background was sponged with distress inks and a sentiment from Simply Spring Borders by PTI was added to the bottom corner.

Thanks for stopping by !

I'm in love with the mini What The Doodle Butterfly stamp set by Papertrey Ink. I smooshed my background with Picked Raspberry distress ink and then just colored the flowers in the butterfly image with a pink Zig Clean Color Water Brush Marker. The die cut panels are by Sugar Pea designs and were included in the latest SOA Collection called Young At Heart by Catherine Pooler.

My card was linked to the current Lawnscaping Challenge that can be found below this post.

Start Each Day With A Grateful Heart

14 March 2016

Hey there! I bought MFTs New York Skyline a while back and totally forgot about it. I thought I would create a card and enter it in a couple of current challenges out there in blogland.

First I sponged my background with distress inks and added water dropplets.

Then I cut out a couple of die cuts of the skyline in white cardstock. Several buildings on one end of a die cut and several buildings on the opposite end of the second die cut were removed. I then cut the second die cut shorter and adhered it in front of the first one to make it look more like a city.
A sentiment from Lovely Layers by PTI was stamped in the bottom corner above a thin black strip of black cardstock.

Thanks for dropping by and have a lovely day!

Hello

Good afternoon all. My card today was entered into the Less is More Challenge. It's one-layer week with the focus being the sentiment.

I actually used three separate stamp sets to create my CAS card. First, I stamped the stripes from the set Super Stripes in Coral Burst pigment ink by Mama Elephant. The hello is from the set Swoosh and the second half of the sentiment is from Birds and Blooms, all by Papertrey Ink.
This card only took a few minutes to make once I had all my supplies laid out on the table.

Hope you're all enjoying your day. The weather here in Wisconsin has been miserable. Raining all day, but perfect weather for stamping!
Hugs, Rema
