Feel Better Soon

27 October 2016

Good morning!

Todays card was created and entered into

Here is this month's color palette.

Here is my take on the challenge using Altenew's mini daisy set. I kept my card very simple and only added several gold rhinestones.

I cut out a stitched rectangle wafer die by Simon Says Stamp from corn yellow cardstock and scored every quarter inch. Then I rubbed white pigment ink over the whole panel to lighten it up. The scored areas weren't affected and were still the original color of the cardstock. It doesn't show up very well on camera but the panel looks like it has stripes. Double stitched circle die is by Cottage Cutz.

Thanks for stopping by!

25 October 2016

Hello all!

It's time for Papertrey Ink's monthly blog hop.

Here is the gorgeous photo that Nichole has chosen for us to draw inspiration from. Aren't these beautiful colors? Fall is my favorite time of year.

Blog Hop

Here is my take on the challenge.

I was inspired by just about everything in this photo. Instead of the gourds I went with pumpkins.

I used images and coordinating dies from Pumpkin Patch and Stylized Autumn.

Thanks for stopping by and enjoy the hop!

20 October 2016

Good morning!

There is a huge Holiday Cardmaking Challenge currently going on over at Hero Arts. I just love all their recently released stamps and coordinating dies for the holidays.

For my card today I'm using the color layering cardinal and coordinating dies. I created my own background by masking and sponging the hills and moon. I added tiny trees and stars in the background and snow on the branch with a Signo white gel pen.

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!

ATSM Challenge #216 - Anything Goes

18 October 2016

  Hello everyone?

It's anything goes this week at Addicted to Stamps and More. I've been feeling a bit under the weather the last few days and haven't had the energy to do anything, so today's card is a quick and easy one.

I simply sponged the background with various distress inks and added a sentiment
from Birthday Blessings by Gina K. Designs. My card was a bit plain so I added various sequins and water splatters to jazz it up.

Have a great day!

Merry Christmas

Hey there friends!

I had the pleasure of attending Gina's K. Designs Christmas in the Village three day event at her store in Glendale Wi. last week. It's less than an hour away from my home and it was super fun! I got a chance to meet two of her illustrators, Melanie Muenchinger and Theresa Momber and two of her designers Karen Day Hightower and the newest member Chris Dayton. It was nice to meet people who attended from all over the U.S., some of whom I am friends with through the internet.

For my card today I'm featuring images from the new release Dashing illustrated by Theresa Momber. She gave a class on sponging and showed us a few tips on how to create dreamy inked backgrounds.

This is what I created when I got home.

Thanks for dropping by and have a great day?

Happy Birthday To You

04 October 2016

Hello and good evening!

I have one more card to share with you all celebrating World Card Making Day with Gina K. Designs. It's my second card for challenge #4, creating a background using stencils. I used the same technique as the first card by inking up my stencil with white pigment ink and running it through my Cuttlebug on top of pink cardstock. The stencil I used is by Simon Says Stamp called Chevrons. Images are from Birthday Blessings and the sentiment is from Scripty Sayings. I added black Nuvo drops randomly as a finishing touch.

Happy Birthday

Hello friends!

Here is a card I created for the fourth challenge celebrating World Card Making Day with Gina K Designs. The challenge is to create a background using stencils. I wanted to make a masculine birthday card and this is what I came up with.

The stencil used is by Tim Holtz called Stripes and the image and sentiment is from Country Roads 2.

I inked up the stencil with chocolate brown dye ink , placed it on my cardstock and ran it through my Cuttlebug. Dark brown ink splatters were added as a finishing touch. I love the results.

Background was sponged with various distress inks.

Birthday Blessings

Hello again!

It's my second post of the day with a elegant fall birthday card I created for the second challenge for World Card Making Day with Gina K. Designs.
This time around we are to create a card using the foiling technique. I just ordered my foil laminating machine and foil from Amazon and it hasn't arrived yet but we can substitute metal embossing powder which is what I did.

For this card I used an image and sentiment from Birthday Blessings. I was quite pleased with the way it turned out. Background was sponged with sweet corn and peach bellini.

Thanks for dropping by!

Pumpkin Weather Is Here

01 October 2016

Good morning!

Here is the card I made for PTI's MIM Challenge

Ashley is the host this week and she shows us how to make three different card styles with pumpkin stamps, traditional, unique and trendy. I'm not quite sure if we were to make all three card styles but I only had time to make one.

Here are the sets I used:

Spooky Smiles
Falling Leaves
Autumn Hills

I think my card leans towards the traditional style with a whimsical twist.

Thanks for visiting and have a super weekend!
