For my first card I did a little water color "smooshing" to my background with the following GKD inks, Kraft and Dark Chocolate. For the leaf I used Distress Oxide inks.

Here I used one leaf image and the "Rock n Roll" technique ( on some of the leaves ) with the following GKD inks, Jelly Bean Green, Dusty Rose and Sweet Mango. Click here to view this technique.

I repeatedly stamped all leaf images in Dark Chocolate GKD ink on kraft cardstock. The die cut and sentiment were stamped in GKD Jelly Bean Green ink.

My last card is one that I showed at the release party a couple of weeks ago. The bottom portion of my card was sponged with Distress Oxide Inks and stamped three times with one of the leaf images. The friend die cut was stamped with Blue Lagoon GKD ink and heat embossed with clear sparkle embossing powder.

STAMPtember Gina K. Designs Exclusive: Warmer With You

Hello friends and thanks for stopping by!

I'm absolutely thrilled to be sharing with you a stamp set designed by Gina K. Designs exclusively for STAMPtember with Simon Says Stamp called Warmer With You! This set also has coordinating dies that are sold separately.

After I die cut my front panel I masked off the bottom portion and started blending with the following GKD inks, Wild Dandelion, Sweet Mango and Passionate Pink. I was going for a vibrant winter sky.

Using my MISTI, I stamped the tree image twice with GKD black ink to get a good impression and once with GKD white ink. When I stamped it with the white ink I didn't cover the entire image, just here and there to lighten it up in certain areas. You can't tell very well from the photo but in person it looks like frost is clinging to the trees.

I stamped two snow people, colored them with Zig Real Brush Markers and fussy cut them out. Black lines were added to their scarves.

Lastly, I stamped a sentiment, die cut it out and just ran a black Copic marker around the edges.

I hope you enjoyed my card. This is a limited exclusive design that is only available while supplies last. Get yours today while it's still available.

Check out what the rest of the design team has created!

To see who won, check the Big News Forum at StampTV a few days after the hop. Ready for some inspiration? Here are a few of the projects I have created for today’s hop:

First up I created a "THANK YOU" card with Melanie's beautiful set Fabulous Rose Frame. I colored the roses and leaves with Chameleon markers. It's my first time coloring with them and they are a bit challenging. I will have to practice with them a bit more. I cut the label die with patterned paper from the Petite Patterns paper pack by GKD.

I just love Wetlands 2 by Theresa Momber. It's a perfect set for creating masculine birthday cards like the one I made here. I kept it simple and added just a bit of water coloring to the background with my Gansai Tambi Water Colors.

Altenew August Inspiration Challenge

Erum is hosting her very first Inspiration Challenge over at Altenew this month. Below is one of her cards and the color palette she has chosen to get our creative juices flowing.

I received my Altenew order last week and have chosen the large image and sentiment from Arabesque Medallion  to create a card with.

Here is my take on the challenge.

The medallion and sentiment were heat embossed with Ranger Mushroom Adirondack Embossing Powder. I water colored the image with Gansai Tambi water color paint and added a medium size enamel dot to the center of the image.

For my next card I sponged the background with various GKD inks and colored the die cut images with my Zig Real Brush Markers.

Here I colored the peony image with several shades of yellow Prisma colored pencils and heat embossed the sentiment on black card stock.

For my last card I combined Wise Old Owl with a sentiment from Grand Greetings. I did some masking and added yellow and light grey circles. The solid star image is from Spring Baskets.
