Gina K. Designs August 2020 Release Blog Hop - Day 3

19 August 2020

Hello and welcome! I'm so glad you are here. It's Day 3 of the blog hop and we are continuing the new release celebration with the focus on the new August card kit called Peace Love and Sushi. Just a quick reminder that there is another $50 GC up for grabs today so make sure you comment on all the blogs along the way. You still have time to hop and comment on Day 1 and Day 2 if you haven't already done so. That's a total of three $50 GC for three commentators chosen randomly. Winners will be posted on the Gina K. blog several days after the hop.

Here is what you will receive with the new card kit. Believe me this is well worth the price!

Here are my projects featuring the new kit.

I used the "smooshing technique" on this card. After I smooshed my card stock I let it air dry then stamped the image with Black Onyx GKD ink. This set comes with coordinating dies but I decided to fussy cut the image to eliminate any colors that would go beyond the inked image.

So I'm not a sushi eater and only had it once by accident (never again)! I have friends that just love it but the idea of consuming raw fish just doesn't appeal to me. Therefore, I will be sending this card to one of them...lol! For this card I masked a small square and ink blended the following GKD colors: Key Lime and Lucky Clover The image was colored with Zig Real Brush Markers.

My last card from the kit was colored with Zig Real Brush Markers.

Spend $75 and you will automatically receive the new incentive mini stamp set this month called Take Care.

Well, that concludes Day 3 of the hop. I am so glad you were able to hop with us and I hope I have inspired you to create!

Gina K. Designs August 2020 Release Blog Hop - Day 2

18 August 2020

Hello friends and welcome to Day 2 as we continue to bring you more inspiration and another chance to win a $50 GC to Gina K. Design. Just make sure you comment on all the blogs along the way to be entered. Winners from all three days will be randomly chosen and posted in the Gina K. blog several days after the hop. Good luck!

Today we are showcasing three more new sets so lets get to it! First up is Beth Silaika's new set called Welcome Home which has coordinating dies that may be purchased separately.

I paired both of my cards with the Perfect Pallet stamp set. I first stamped the birdhouse images with Black Onyx GKD ink, then I colored them with Copic Markers and lastly I masked the roofs with washi tape and stamped a wood pallet image from Perfect Pallets.

Next up we have Love Conquers, a scripty sentiment stamp set illustrated by Emily Loggans.

Quick and simple card using Black Onyx, Passionate Pink and Velvet Red GKD inks.

I masked a portion of the Heartfelt Art Stencil, applied Poppin' Pink Neon ink and added a sentiment to the open space. Lastly I stamped a heart from the set with Raging Red Neon ink and adhered a heart embellishment.

The last set today is by Arjita Singh, the newest illustrated at Gina K. Designs. Delightful Blooms is her first set and its a beauty! (This set is temporarily out of stock. Add it to your wish list to be notified when it will be available)

For this card I masked a rectangular area and ink blended the following GKD inks: Wild Dandelion, Tangerine Twist and Passionate Pink. I stamped one of the large images directly onto my panel with Black Onyx GKD ink. I heat embossed a sentiment and adhered it to the card front.

For my last card I used the Water Droplets Art Stencil and again did some ink blending with the following GKD inks: Wild Dandelion, Tangerine Twist and Passionate Pink. I use this color combo quite often! I stamped the second large floral image directly onto the stenciled area leaving part of the image with no color.

These products are now available at:

That concludes Day 2. Join us tomorrow as we showcase the new August Card Kit Peace, Love and Sushi.

Thanks for visiting today. Your next stop on the hop is Sheri Gilson!

Gina K. Designs August 2020 Release Blog Hop

17 August 2020

Welcome to a new Gina K. Designs release! For the next three days the team will be sharing exciting new products so make sure you leave a comment on each blog for a chance to win one of three $50 GC's to the store. One GC will be awarded for each day of the hop. Winners will be chosen randomly and posted on the Gina K. blog several days after the hop.

First up I have a couple of cards created from a fabulous new set illustrated by Melanie Muenchinger called Beautiful Butterflies. This set has coordinating dies that may be purchased separated

The panel is die cut with the stitched rectangle die that is included in the new Master Layouts 2 Die Set.
Black Onyx, Passionate Pink, Tranquil Teal and Sea Glass GKD inks were used on my card. A coordinating die was used to cut the butterfly out.

The panel is die cut with the stitched rectangle die that is included in the new Master Layouts 2 Die Set.
I ink blended the butterflies with Tranquil Teal and In The Navy GKD inks directly onto one of the butterfly images with a finger dauber and used the coordinating dies to cut them out.

The second set that we are showcasing today is called Wildflowers and Weeds illustrated by Lisa Hetrick. This set also has coordinating dies that may be purchased separately.

For my first card I created an Autumn scene. I sponged a variety of GKD inks to the bicycle wheel with a finger dauber to give it an antique kinda look using colors you would associate with the fall season.

For the second card I used the "smooshing" technique with Wild Dandelion, Powder Blue and Wild Lilac GKD inks. Other inks used were Black Onyx and Sweet Corn.

The last set today is illustrated by Hannah Drapinski called Positive Thoughts.

Here are my cards featuring this set.

I kept this card very simple and just added some color to the cheeks and some eyeliner.

For my last card I used an image from the Tiny Textures mini stamp set to stamp the background with Wild Dandelion, Bubblegum Pink, Jelly Bean Green and Sea Glass GKD inks. The large image and sentiment were stamped with Black Onxy ink.
