Chistmas Card Challenges #15

13 March 2016

This week's theme is "ANYTHING GOES" but remember the only real rule to play along each week is to create a holiday or Christmas card.

Here is my card for the challenge featuring images from Warmest Wishes and Winter Penguin by PTI and Homespun Stitched Dies by MFT.

We would love to see what you create. Stop by and play along.

Have a wonderful day!

You are Amazing

11 March 2016

My husband would say that I made this card for him...lol! Maybe I did. Actually I made this card for several current challenges that require the color green. But in the end he will receive it. He loves my cards but he never reads my posts so it will be a surprise when he gets it.

It's a one-layer card, but  I did put green cardstock in the inside on the back of the front cover as well for support because I die cut the front with Homespun Stitched Lines by MFT and it was a bit flimsy but I liked the look it created. Also the green shows through the tiny chevron holes. I stamped stripes in two different shades of green using images from Super Stripes by PTI. Sentiment is by Simon Says from their set Inside and Out Sayings. Several clear sequins were added to finish my card off.

Have an awesome weekend!

Spring is in the Air

Hello! I'm on a roll here using the new set by Papertrey Ink called Tulip Time. I simply love this set. I smooshed my background with a combination of blues and lavender Peerless water colors onto a panel cut from the largest Wonky Stitched Rectangle die by MFT. I think I'm just about done stamping my Easter and Spring cards , now all I have to do is mail them out. I'm really bad about that. I have all these cards I make and hardly ever send any them out. I have them sitting around in various places at home. I just hate to part with them. Does anybody else have this problem? My goal this year is to send them out soon after I make them...lol. We'll see how long that lasts!

Have a wonderful day!

You're Out Of This world

09 March 2016

My card today was entered into the MFT Sketch Challenge and it features images from the set Out Of This World and it's coordinating dies. It's the first time I've inked up this set and I love it and I know my grandson will too.

Here's the sketch.

I did some sponging with distress inks for my background and added MFT's Stitched Cloud die. Image was colored in using my Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers.

Thanks for stopping by!

Easter Wishes

07 March 2016

Good evening all! Dawn is hosting PTI's MIM Challenge this week and she shows us how to create gradient ink blending on stamped images with sponges.

My card features images and a sentiment from the newly released set Spring Woods and it's coordinating dies.

I did a bit of masking to create the background  and sponged Squeezed lemonade and Picked Raspberry distress inks. The bird was sponged with Salty Sea and Orange Marmalade distress inks.

Thanks for stopping by today!

All My Love For Christmas

06 March 2016

Hey there! We have a new challenge up at Christmas Card Challenges. Below you'll find the inspiration photo. It's optional. If you choose not to use it just remember that it must be a Christmas card of some sort.

Here is what I created using the above colors, an older rubber snowman image from Stamps by Judith and Heather and a sentiment from Love Lives here: Holiday By Papertrey Ink. Some puffy snow was added to the bottom using Liquid Applique.

Thanks for stopping by and we hope to see your take on the challenge!
