PTI Anniversary - Day Five

10 February 2016

We are into day five of Papertrey's 9th anniversary and today we are to create a new card that features nine 1-1/2" squares, each altered in a different way and mounted onto a card base. I decided to go with a valentines day card.

Before cutting my squares I sponged the panel, did a little Bokeh stamping then splattered water droplets onto the surface.

Here are the sets that were used.
Beautiful Butterflies and coordinating die, Building Blocks, Half and Half, Happy Hearts and coordinating cover plate, Sending My Love and With All My Heart.

Have a wonderful day!

PTI 9th Anniversary - Day Three

07 February 2016

Hello all! Have you been over to Nichole's blog and participated in any of the challenges yet or seen any of the new products that are going  to be released on the 15th? Today she revealed the Tiny Town Series and it's going to be a super awesome collection! I can't wait to start collected that series. So many possibilities. I like the fact that it's larger and you can fill it with small goodies or just cut a hole on the bottom and insert a tea light. I can envision a whole tiny town sitting on my mantle above the fireplace all with little lights emanating from within.

For today's challenge we are to create a project with items that we grab and gather in 5 minutes. I didn't have too much time to work with tonight since the Super Bowl game was on and we had company. I can tell you for a fact that my card took less than 5 minutes to make...lol! I picked several simple supplies to work with. They included the Hooray set, Big Birthday set, various inks, white cardstock and a corner chomper.

Here is what I came up with.

Thanks for stopping by today!

Christmas Card Challenges #10

06 February 2016

Welcome to week 10 at Christmas Card Challenges. We have a new inspiration photo for you pictured below.

I've been doing quite a bit of sponging lately. Here I heat embossed my image and sentiment with clear embossing powder before sponging the background. Santa and his sleigh and the sentiment is from the mini City Scene Additions by PTI.

We would love to see what you create. Stop on by and play along. See what the rest of the design team came up with.

PTI 9th Anniversay - Day Two

The second day of Papertrey's 9th anniversary is underway and of coarse there is a
another challenge!

For this one we are to create a project that is inspired by a piece of clothing/outfit from our closet or an online clothing retailer. All my good clothes are set aside at the moment to make room for winter clothes so I went to Pinterest and picked out this adorable child's outfit. I didn't want to work with too many colors but I did want some sort of patteren as a guideline. Here it is...

So cute and easy to make.

This is what I came up with using an image from Chevron Stripes and a sentiment from Building Blocks. I cut out the largest butterfly from the Butterfly Cover Plate. I could not have gotten my stripes perfectly spaced and straight if it were not for my MISTI!

Well that's it for today.
Thanks for visiting!

Hugs

04 February 2016

Morning all! I have a clean and simple card to share with you all today featuring stamped hearts from Sending and Wishing by Simon Says Stamp and a die cut sentiment from Big Hugs by Papertrey Ink.

Card front was cut using the largest Wonky Stitched Rectangle STAX by MFT. I'm simply in love with this die collection and can't seem to use it enough. It adds so much to a CAS card.

I've linked my card to several challenges that are taking place this week and you can find them at the bottom of this post.

Thanks for visiting!

Good evening all! Melissa is hosting this week's MIM at Papertrey Ink. She shows us how to achieve an ombre look using stamps and die cuts. Here is my take using images from the following sets.
Love Lives Here
Sending My Love
Live Love Life
Think Big Favorites #11

I did not use any die cuts or Gelatos.
I used distress inks.
