Gina K. Designs September 2020 New Release - Day 2

23 September 2020

Hello and welcome! You should have arrived from Mindy Eggen's blog. It's Day 2 of the blog hop and we have loads of inspiration coming your way from Gina K. and the design team. Today's focus is on new sets illustrated by Arjita Singh and Lisa Hetrick that I know you are going to love! So let's get started!

Arjita is our newest illustrator and this is her second set featuring another large beautiful floral image. You will probably not be able to stamp the whole image onto an A2 card front but there are many ways to position the stamp so that each card you create will have a new look. Or you can just make a large 5x7 card.

TMELESS POPPIES

Here is today's inspiration featuring this set.

For this card I heat embossed the floral image on an alcohol ink background on white Yupo paper. Lastly, I added a sentiment and dazzling Diamond Rhinestones.

I did some loose water coloring to my background with Passionate Pink and Wild Lilac GKD inks and then just stamped the large image and a sentiment directly onto my card front.

The second set we are focusing on today was illustrated by Lisa Hetrick called Bloomin' Wild. This set has coordinating dies that may be purchased separately. The thing I love about Lisa's sets is that they all coordinate beautifully.

Here are the cards I created featuring this set.

I tried something different with this card. I recently purchased a Gelli Plate so I thought I would give it a go and try it out. I added a dab of acrylic paint onto it in several colors and rolled it out with a brayer.  I added a piece of card stock on top and pressed down on it. After it dried I cut it out with the stitched rectangle die from the Master Layouts 2 die set. The largest floral image and a sentiment from the new release Hey Boo was stamped directly onto the card panel. Lastly, I added clear sequins to finish my card off. I was surprised on how vibrant the colors turned out. I will definitely use this technique on future cards.

Inks used to stamp the floral images on this card were Passionate Pink, Red Hot, Wild Dandelion and Sea Glass. Sentiment is from the free mini incentive set Thankful Greenery

These  products and the entire release are available now at

Don't forget to comment on each blog along the way for a chance to win a $50 GC to the store. A $50 GC will be awarded to a lucky commentator each day of the hop. The winners will be announced several days after the hop on the Gina K. blog.

That concludes Day 2. Join us tomorrow as we showcase the new September card kit called Festive Fall and a new set illustrated by Emily Loggans.

Thanks for dropping by today! Your next stop on the hop is Sheri Gilson.

Take care, Rema!
