Welcome to Day 2 of the Gina K. Designs February Release Blog Hop. I am so glad your here! You should have arrived from Mindy Eggen's blog. If you have lost your way and would like to start at the beginning click here to go to Gina K.'s blog.
I have so much to share with you today so let's get started! First up is a new set by Emily Loggans called Just Because.
Here are my cards featuring this set. I created a couple of alcohol ink backgrounds as a backdrop for the sentiments. The large "hello" is from last month's card kit A Big Hello.
The next set we are focusing on today is called Kindness Wreath illustrated by Hannah Drapinski.
This is a beautiful set that may be colored with pencils, markers, water colors or just left the way it is. For my first card I did some ink blending with Wild Lilac and Passionate Pink GKD inks and just stamped the wreath image directly on to the ink blended background. For the second card I went clean and simple. The small leaf branches were stamped with Obsidian Amalgam ink, colored with Zig Real Brush Markers and cut out with my Scan N Cut machine. I added a couple of straight lines with a fine tip black pen and a ruler and added a couple of gold jewels.
The last set we are showcasing is called Woodland Whimsy. This one was illustrated by Lisa Hetrick and is probably my favorite set from this release.
Here are the two cards I created featuring this set. I loved the way my first card turned out. The flower images and leafs were stamped in Obsidian Amalgam ink, colored with Copic Markers and cut out with my Scan N Cut machine. A jewel was added to the center of the middle flower. My last card was randomly stamped with one of the flower images and the double leaf image then heat embossed with GKD white embossing powder. I sectioned off areas of the top part of my panel and did some ink blending with Wild Lilac, Passionate Pink and Sea Glass GKD inks. I heat embossed a sentiment on a strip of Black Onyx card stock and adhered it to the lower portion of my card.
The entire February release is available now at:
Before you go just a quick reminder to comment on all the blogs both days of the hop for a chance to win one of two $50 gift cards to the store. The winners will be chosen randomly and posted on Gina K.'s blog several days after the hop. Good Luck!
