Gina K. Designs January Release Blog Hop - Day 1

27 January 2020

Hello and welcome to Day 1 of the Gina K. Designs January Release Blog Hop! You should have arrived from Mindy Eggen's blog. For next three days Gina K. and the design team will be showcasing some amazing new stamps, dies and a brand new card kit. This is a huge release and I have lots of projects to show so grab a cup of coffee, sit back and enjoy the inspiration!

Today's focus will be on Embroidered Flowers illustrated by Melanie Muenchinger and Beth Silaika's new set Happy Hearts. Both sets have coordinating dies which may be purchased separately.

EMBROIDERED FLOWERS

HAPPY HEARTS

Here are the cards I created  With Embroidered Flowers.

My first card was stamped with the Electro Pop Neon Inks and Obsidian Amalgam ink and finished off with several gold jewels.

This set is perfect for stamping a quick and easy background. Here I used Wild Lilac, Passionate Pink and Jelly Bean Green GKD inks. I added a bit twine above the sentiment.

 Cards featuring Happy Hearts.

Both cards are one layer. The first card features the Heartfelt stencil that is included in this month's card kit. For my second card I used one of the Fancy Border dies called Tiny Hearts Border. I did a bit of distressing on the solid red heart for a bit of interest.

My last card today features the new Scripty Encouragement mini incentive stamp set free with a $75 purchase. Here I added one of the sentiments to create a stem with a flower and leaf from the A Big Hello card kit.

  21. I love the color of the card base in the first card. The center panel being popped up adds to the interest of the flowers which are just beautiful. The second card is a striking combination of pinks, green, and purple--just lovely. Both Valentine cards are so different, and yet beautiful in design. The stencil use on the first one is great.
