PTI Make It Monday #235: Adding Color to Stamped Images

Hey there! This week's Papertrey MIM is hosted by Laurie and she shares her tips for adding additional color to stamped images. I kept my card very simple and added just a few highlights to the centers of the flowers and the tops of the stems with my Prisma Colored Pencils and Gamsol. I cut a couple of strips from the Ombre Stripes patterened paper collection and adhered them to the top and bottom of my panel and added a piece of twine as a finishing touch.

This month I'm casing one of Betsy's cards for Papertrey Ink's Create Along With Us Challenge. Here is my card using one of the Stitched Heart dies released last year. I added a stamped floral die cut from Garden Grace behind the heart. The sentiment was cut from the coordinating die from Swoosh.

Have A Blessesd Christmas



Hello there! One of my favorite techniques is to sponge my background with various inks and adding splatters here and there. I just love the end results. For my card today I used images from Bright Baubles a set by Neat and Tangled that was included in my SOA Holiday Magic Collection by Catherine Pooler. I heat embossed the tree and as a finishing touch several sequins were added.

Good morning! It's one-layer week at Less is More and the theme this time around is

For my card today I have chosen and older set by Flourishes, an on-line company which is no longer in business, called 

Christmas Classics. This image required a lot of coloring so I brought out my Prisma Colored Pencils and went to work. I added Wink Of Stella to the tops of my stockings for some shimmer. The sentiment is from Stained Glass by Papertrey Ink.

Hello! My card today features a couple of images and coordinating dies from PTI's Make-It-Market Kit All Through the House (Not available anymore) with a sentiment from Stained Glass. The background was sponged with various inks and later embossed with white embossing paste and the Falling Snow Stencil by Simon Says Stamp. Morning all! Here's this week's inspiration photo at Christmas Card Challenges. It's optional just to get you started but you don't have to use it. The only real rule to play along each week is to create a holiday or Christmas card and have fun!

 

For my card today I have chosen images from Heirloom Ornament By Gina K. Designs. It's an older set that unfortunately is not available anymore but still considered one of my favorite Christmas sets. Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas

Hi everyone! Once again I'm featuring Into the Woods along with Rustic Wreath by PTI to create this card that has been linked to several challenge listed below this post. This week's Papertrey MIM Challenge is to add felt embellishments to our project. I found the pretty white felt poinsettia in my stash of items that have fallen out of their original packaging so there's no telling where it came from. It needed a home and this card was the perfect place for it. I added a gold adhesive snowflake to the center.

O Holy Night

Hello! I'm loving these beautiful snowflake dies by Cas-ual Fridays that was included in my Holiday Magic SOA Collection by Catherine Pooler. Sponging my backgrounds is quickly becoming a favorite technique of mine and I do it whenever I can.. Today's card features a sentiment from O Holy Night by Papertrey Ink. I added splatters and a bit of glitter to the centers of three of the snowflakes as a finishing touch.

Naughty or Nice?

Morning! First of all I have a bit of news to share with you all today. I recently joined the Christmas Card Challenge Design Team. I am so looking forward to working with some very talented ladies! You can find the introductions to all the new team members here.

 

My first card as a DT member for the Christmas Card Challenge features the Make a Santa Die & Stamp Set Bundle by Lil' Inker Designs. Santa's hat is 100% wool felt. It doesn't show up very well but I sprinkled a little red sparkly glitter on the hat hoping it would stick to the fibers without adding any kind of adhesive to it. Some of it did and the rest stuck to everything else on my table.  Below is the graphics to this weeks challenge. Please stop by and play along!
