Gina K. Designs January Release Blog Hop - Day 2

28 January 2020

Hey there! It's Day 2 and there is more inspiration coming your way! Today we are featuring new stamps and dies by three amazing illustrators, but before we do that just a reminder that there are three $50 gift cards to be awarded to three lucky commenters so be sure to comment on all the blogs each day of the hop. The winners will be randomly selected and posted several days after the hop ends over at Gina K. Designs. Good luck!.

OK, lets get started. First up is a set illustrated by Emily Loggans called Be The Rainbow. This one contains several fun images with encouraging sentiments in Emily's own handwritten lettering style.

The rainbow was stamped with Electro Pop Neon Inks. Perfect for rainbow coloring and any other images for a bright and vibrant look!

Next up is Massive Peony illustrated by Hannah Drapinski. This is a beautiful stamp set for those of you that enjoy coloring. The large flower image is perfect for the no line coloring technique that I have yet to learn. This one comes with a die that may be purchased separately.

For this card I left it uncolored and just did some water coloring to the background using the "smooshing" technique and Wild Lilac and Blue Raspberry GKD inks. The sentiment was heat embossed with GKD gold embossing powder. Lastly I added several gold jewels.

The last set we are showcasing today is called You Anchor Me illustrated by Lisa Hetrick. You are going to love this set which includes a huge anchor image, beautiful flowers to adorn it and several sentiments.. This set has coordinating dies that may be purchased separately.

For my first card I did some ink distressing with GKD inks to make the anchor appear as if it has been sitting in water for a long period of time. Inks used were Jelly Bean Green, Blue Raspberry. Sweet Corn and Tangerine Twist for the anchor and Red Velvet, Tranquil Teal Sweet Corn and Obsideon Amalgam Inks for everything else.

My last card was a quick and easy one using a wreath builder template. The center was ink blended with Bubblegum Pink and Turquoise Sea GKD inks. I cut one of the sentiments from the set in half so that it would fit nicely in the middle when stamped. To finish my card off, several white embellishments were added.

The entire new January release is now available at:

That concludes Day 2 of the hop. Join us tomorrow for the last day and some inspiration featuring this month's card hit A Big Hello.

Thanks for dropping by! Your next stop on the hop is Sheri Gilson.
